We ask that you navigate to that location&#8217;s page in your browser and take note of the updated and real-time hours of operation for your chosen shop&#8217;s availability.<\/div>\n<p>We are continuing to work closely with the appropriate authorities to make sure that your Ignition Interlock program progresses smoothly and seamlessly.<\/p>\n<p>Please remember to stay in your vehicle during the service to adhere to social distancing guidelines.<\/p>\n<p>Here are some other steps we are taking \u2013 and that you can take \u2013 to help you feel confident with your Ignition Interlock and portable alcohol monitoring programs.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>What Smart Start is Doing<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>We have intensified our usual emphasis on health and hygienic practices. These include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Washing hands\u00a0thoroughly\u00a0not just\u00a0before and after every customer interaction, but\u00a0repeatedly\u00a0throughout the day.<\/li>\n<li>Thoroughly cleaning\u00a0surfaces in high traffic areas\u00a0several times each day, utilizing products recommended by the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.epa.gov\/pesticide-registration\/list-n-disinfectants-use-against-sars-cov-2\">Environmental Protection Agency (EPA)<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>Requiring\u00a0team members to stay home if they\u00a0exhibit virus symptoms (fever, cough, shortness of breath) specified by the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cdc.gov\/coronavirus\/2019-ncov\/about\/symptoms.html\">CDC<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>When you come to a Smart Start service center, we always offer new mouthpieces at no charge.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><strong>What You Should Do<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Even in normal circumstances, there is much you can do to ensure that your device is hygienic and safe to use:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Do not let anyone else use your IID unless absolutely necessary. If someone does use your device, replace the existing mouthpiece as quickly as possible with a new, unopened mouthpiece. Dispose of the old mouthpiece.We offer free mouthpieces at all of our service centers.<\/li>\n<li>Use only EPA-approved products to clean your mouthpiece or the external surface of your device.\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.epa.gov\/pesticide-registration\/list-n-disinfectants-use-against-sars-cov-2\">Click here for a comprehensive list<\/a>. The cloth you use should be damp, but not wet, to avoid getting moisture into the device. Be sure to wait 15 minutes before taking a test.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Hand Sanitizer:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>All sources of alcohol should be avoided when providing a breath sample into the interlock device. As hand sanitizer has a high concentration of alcohol, it is a high offender.<\/li>\n<li>Participants are recommended to apply hand sanitizer outside the vehicle and away from the interlock device.<\/li>\n<li>Allow the sanitizer to air dry completely before entering the vehicle to provide a breath sample.<\/li>\n<li>Roll down the vehicle window to encourage outside air circulation whenever possible.<\/li>\n<li>Rinse mouth with water prior to providing a breath sample.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure the mouthpiece does not have hand sanitizer in it when providing a breath sample.<\/li>\n<li>If your breath sample results in a fail, and you believe it is due to hand sanitizer, be sure to provide a passing sample immediately afterward.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>It\u2019s important to try to stop the spread of the virus while also adhering to your program. By following a few simple guidelines, you can help us keep our service centers safe and support you in meeting your legal obligation.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>If you are quarantined or are showing CDC-specified symptoms (fever, cough, shortness of breath), please reschedule your appointment by calling\u00a0<a href=\"tel:8444324776\">(844) 432-4776<\/a>. If you do come to a center with any of these symptoms, you will be asked to leave and call customer service to reschedule or to make alternate arrangements.<\/li>\n<li>Our team members have been instructed\u00a0to follow the CDC\u2019s \u201csocial distancing\u201d guidelines\u00a0of at least 6 feet.\u00a0For your own safety, please follow those guidelines as well\u00a0during your appointment.<\/li>\n<li>Unless you need to have your device serviced, you may not need to come to the service center.
