Smart Start supports their clients and monitoring authorities through a centralized, state-of-the-art, 24/7/365, bilingual Customer Care Center located at their corporate office in Sherwood Park, AB
Since their inception, Smart Start’s Ignition Interlocks have recorded over a billion alcohol-free starts and have prevented 11 million engine starts where alcohol was present on the driver’s breath.
As an alternative to incarceration and license suspension, our Ignition Interlocks are saving lives.
Smart Start is the only company offering fully integrated breath alcohol Ignition Interlock and portable alcohol monitoring device services, which include manufacturing, installation, service, monitoring and reporting. Smart Start provides timely interpreted reports and expert court testimony to monitoring authorities, as well as the ability to customize programs to the laws and requirements of each province
Over the years, Smart Start Canada has expanded their product and service offerings to include other alcohol monitoring technologies to become a proven and innovative market leader. Who We Serve
We serve two groups of clients:
- Drivers who install the Ignition Interlock on their vehicles for court-ordered supervision, license reinstatement or voluntary monitoring.
- The provincial Ministry of Transportation or the applicable judicial authority mandates and oversees the use of Ignition Interlock Devices for individuals convicted of impaired driving (DUI), as well as those court-ordered to use portable alcohol monitoring devices.
